I poked around and could not find that specific model, but then I was not going to actually do an install either. Again, thanks for the comments. They are appreciated. Good luck with your arrays. Look carefully in the downloads section for mentions to discontinued products.
The list is a little hard to read but there is a section for Drivers, Firmware, and Manuals. I believe the links for the discontinued information are FTP sites. I didn't need a special ftp client to access the files There is no specific file that states it's for the ML I appreciate your help. Looking forward to trying one of these out. That only gives me gigs, but, that is more than enough at my current needs. In the future, I could put bigger drives or more drives if needed.
Cons: As others stated, it does run hot. I understand the company offers a fan as an option. And a battery backup as an option. Dang if I can find where you can buy these options though. Newegg doesn't seem to sell them, nor can I find anybody else that does.
But, I just bought a fan at the store at cobled it together. I just got a SilenX 40mm fan. Looks like a fan for a cheap motherboard chipset fan. But, its supposed to have a new technology fluid bearing that is supposed to be very long life.
Stuck it on and card now runs cool. I also bought the 2GB cache. Cons: Newegg shipped me the model which is around bucks cheaper and has the poor IOP processor. Newegg cost me 2 weeks downtime for RMA to and from over the holiday week. Pay better attention sending out vastly inferior models when customers are paying for one of the top-end models!!
I am very let down with their shipping department. Pros: Works great in my PC. New firmware allows it to boot in my new MacPro as well. Very fast with just half the disks.
Overall Review: Somewhat hard to understand foreign tech support. Takes a long time to rebuild disks over a day but I have nothing to compare this to.
Overall Review: Used the 's active cooler on the and used an active aftermarket southbridge cooler wich didn't fit the but the on the Now both cards are happy. I have a little fan which uses one of my mobo sockets to help keep it cool.
Temps went from 60 C to 40C. Overall Review: This raid controller is aweomse! It works great in linux, mac OS and windows XP. I mainly use it on linux with 12x1TB seagate drives in raid5 for 11 TB of usable disk space. When running windows I ran hdtach on it and you can see my results here:box. Areca is definitely the best you can get as far as performance is concerned.
Pros: Works like a charm.
