Posted April 04, I have a Vista 32bit PC. Installation of Gangsters went fine, at the end I clicked "Launch Game", and Gangsters started without a problem. So far so good. Then I quit Gangsters and tried to re-launch, this time using the link on the desktop created by the installation procedure and without modifying it.

Surprise: A little message box came up saying: "Error: gangsters. The same thing happened again, when I uninstalled and reinstalled Gangsters. After a bit of experimenting with the link, I managed to get Gangsters running by ticking most of the compatibility boxes. In fact, with XP or 98 compatibility, and all others ticked except "run in x" and I didn't check run as admin either.

To tick "run in x" worked as well, but wasn't necessary. Why is there a difference between using "Launch Game" and using the desktop link?
